To some folks, Linda is known for infectious smile, her bold sense of humor, and/or her enormous heart of gold but to most, Linda McCrary Fisher is known for her undeniably unique and spirit filled singing voice.  Not only is Linda the baby of a total of 10 children, she is also the 1 of the only 2 girls amongst the 8 boys. The

McCrary family was raised in a small town in Ohio named Youngstown by parents Charles and Honey McCrary. When Linda was 4, her father Charles (a piano player) overheard her and 4 of her older siblings perfectly harmonizing one night while washing dishes after dinner. From that night and for the rest of his life he and his wife Honey would be their greatest teachers and supporters in life as well as music. Charles immediately bought a piano and started rehearsing his children as he knew this is what they were destined to do. It wasn’t long before The McCrary 5 were out performing at various local events as well as singing for many churches local and abroad. By the time Linda was 12 years of age, The McCrary 5 had enough talent and experience that they were able to audition and appear on the Ted Mac Amateur Hour. The family act was televised weekly on national television until finally winning 2nd place. At the age of 16 Linda and her siblings moved to North Hollywood CA when they excepted positions as youth leaders for a church.

Less than a year after moving to California The McCrary’s signed a recording contract with Light Records releasing their first major Christian album entitled Sunshine Day. This album enabled the siblings to establish many great working relationships with churches and notable Christian/gospel acts around the world such as Pat Boone and Andrae Crouch. In the late 70’s the family set out to expand their audience by going secular. The group signed to a few major record labels including CBS allowing them to go on tour opening for The Jackson’s.

Eventually ending up on Capitol Records, the group recorded their last album as a group when choosing to disburse and pursue individual careers.Linda remained working with close friends she met throughout her career with her siblings. She established a close working relationship with Andrae Crouch and often assisted him in arranging background vocals on albums for himself, Michael Jackson, The Lion King Soundtrack, Madonna and many more. Also a member of the Tommy Coomes band, Linda has traveled with the Billy Gram Organization for more than 20 years leading praise and worship for the crusades. It isn’t uncommon to casually see Linda singing on a number of sitcoms like The Jamie Foxx show, Mike and Molly and Mom. Linda McCrary Fisher’s impressive experience also includes background vocals for a multitude of “A list” recording artist such as Stevie Wonder, Bet Midler, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Madonna, Chaka Khan, Andrea’ Crouch and Sandra Crouch. Linda has also had major success directing choirs for artists such as Beyonce’, Common, John

Legend and Michael Jackson. While continuing to work with such accomplished artists, Linda is currently embarking on her first solo project which will be released in late 2015 by popular demand. Linda acknowledges the call on her life by God and responds by offering light and hope to a dying world through her gift in music.
